Compressed Air Drying System - Particulate, Coalescing Filter, Regulator Combo 3/8 NPT

PneumaticPlus's SAU Multi-Stage Air Systems provide quality air filtration for compressed air applications, offering the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of your system. Its modular design allows for quick and simple connect or disconnect of units, requiring only a screwdriver or hex key, enabling you to customize the unit to your specific requirements. The units can be installed in any location on a single plane without necessitating changes to existing piping, and the SAR Regulators can be mounted either up or down, with the pressure controlled using an adjustable locking knob.

The SAF Air Filters remove harmful debris and moisture from your air supply, while the SAFM Coalescing Filters remove oil vapor and/or mist up to 0.1 microns. These filters are often used with Piston type compressors where downstream oil carryover is excessive and when longer element life and low pressure drops are a concern. The units are designed to fit National Pipe Thread (NPT) sizing.

The three-stage filtration process works as follows: First, the air enters the particulate filter, which utilizes a 10-micron cleanable Polyethylene element, removing corrosive moisture, pipe scale, dirt, and rust from the air-line, protecting the precision parts in the regulator. Second, the fine filtration process removes 99.7 percent of oil aerosols and microscopic particles down to 0.1 micron absolute from the air supply. Third, the air enters a high-performance regulator, which reduces the primary pressure to the desired pressure setting.

For installation, the units should be installed with the airflow in the "IN-OUT" direction as indicated by the arrow on the head of the units. The SAU Series units provide an easy solution for filtration and precision pressure control to your air system.

It is important to note that polycarbonate bowls should not be installed in pressures that exceed 150 PSI or where there is a presence of solvents harmful to polycarbonate. The maximum supply pressure for these systems is 250 PSI, and the maximum operating pressure is 0-150 PSI.

The SAF filters have a 10-micron particulate element, while the SAFM filters have a 0.1-micron coalescing element. The flow rate is 17 SCFM at 90 PSI. The units come with a manual drain, a Poly Bowl with a Metal Guard, and a 3/8" NPT port size. Metal bowls should be used in pressures exceeding 150 PSI or when solvents harmful to polycarbonate are present. A pressure gauge and a bracket are included with the units.
